RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball team trailed for just 58 seconds in a 77-67 road win at Dominican University on Thursday night. The Regents held the Stars to under 40% shooting for the entire game, while shooting just under 44% themselves. However, the biggest difference in the game came on the glass. Rockford outrebounded Dominican 42-29, which led to a decisive 14-0 advantage in second chance points. The win puts the Regents in a tie with Aurora and Concordia Chicago for the final two spots in the NACC Tournament with just three games remaining.
- Seth Childers and Cooper Jackson combined to score the first five points of the night and give Rockford a 5-0 lead just over a minute into the game.
- Rockford built its lead up to as many as six at 10-4, before the Stars scored the next six points to tie the game.
- Following a Micah Swanson layup, Dominican went on a 5-0 run to take its first and only lead of the day at 15-12.
- Fortunately, Rockford quickly erased the three-point deficit with an 8-0 spurt of its own, capped off by Daeshawn Jackson triple, to grab a 20-15 advantage. Jaden Bell scored the first two points and Daeshawn Jackson ended the run with the final six points.
- With Rockford still leading by five late in the half, the Regents scored the next nine points to seize control of the game. It took Rockford just 44 seconds to score those nine points, as the Regents were a perfect 2-for-2 from the floor and 4-of-4 at the free throw line. Donovan Grunloh led the way with five points, followed by four points from Jaden Bell.
- The Regents led by as many as 18 points after a pair of Jaden Bell free throws at the 3:24 mark but took a 44-30 lead into the half.
- The Stars opened the second half on a 10-2 run to make a six-point game with over 15 minutes left in regulation.

- Fortunately, Rockford scored the next eight points, including back-to-back triples by Matthew Elliott and DeVon Oregon, to make it a 12-point RU lead with 6:20 left in regulation.
- Dominican briefly made it a seven-point game on two different occasions, the final coming with just under a minute remaining.
