MEQUON, Wis. - The Rockford University women's basketball team battled all the way back but fell 59-56 on the road Saturday afternoon at Concordia University Wisconsin. Rockford nearly erased a 17-point second-half deficit, outscoring the Falcons 38-24 over the final 17:36 of the game. The Regents cut the Falcon lead all the way down to a single point with 7 seconds left, and then got the ball back with 6 seconds remaining and trailing by three following a pair of CUW made free throws. Unfortunately, Rockford was unable to get a shot off and lost by three points. The 3-point differential is the closest in the series in eight years.
- The game went back-and-forth during the opening minutes with both teams holding the lead.
- Katie Paredes scored the game's first bucket to give Rockford a 2-0 lead.
- Alyssa Havard followed with a triple on the next possession to put the Regents out in front 5-2.
- With Rockford still holding a 7-6 advantage, CUW closed the quarter on a 9-2 run to take a 15-9 advantage into the second.
- The Falcons steadily added to their lead, outscoring the Regents 18-9 in the second, and took a 33-18 advantage into the break.
- After CUW extended its lead to a game-high 17 points early in the third, the Regents began to methodically chip away at the deficit.
- Rockford proceeded to score the next six points, four of which came from Lexi Keating, to make it 35-24 with 5:27 left in the third quarter.
- Following a spurt by the Falcons to increase their lead back up to 16, Rockford closed the quarter on an 11-4 run to get the deficit all the way down to nine points. Jocelyn Callahan and Allie Wintemute combined to score all 11 points to make it a 44-35 game.
- Katie Paredes then scored the first four points of the fourth to chop the Falcon lead to only five points.
- With the Regents now trailing 56-48 and less than a minute left, Katie Paredes knocked down a jumper and Alyssa Havard drained a three-pointer to make it 56-53 with 17 seconds left.
- After the Falcons went 1-of-2 at the line and a Rockford timeout, Lexi Keating knocked down her first three-pointer of the day to get her team back to within a point with 7 seconds remaining.
- Rockford would then foul the Falcons, who made both free throws, and call its final timeout of the game to advance the ball into the front court.
- Unfortunately, the Regents were unable to get a shot off over the final six seconds and fell 59-56 to the Falcons.

- Nia Wilkerson recorded her second double-double of the season. Wilkerson had 10 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.
