WAUWATOSA, Wis. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team fell 72-52 at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon.
Jaden Bell was the only Regent in double-digits with 12 points. He also led the team in assists with four.
Tre Miller snared seven rebounds to pace the lineup.
The first half was all about scoring runs. Wisconsin Lutheran started the game up 8-0. Rockford answered right back with a 10-0 run of their own to take the lead.
After a few minutes of back-and-forth, WLC took control with another 14-0 run and eventually headed into the break up by ten.
The Regents couldn't get anything to drop in the first half, going 7-29 from the floor and only managed 19 points. Their second half was much better offensively, scoring 33 points on 13-32 shooting.
Unfortunately, so were the Warriors. WLC was scorching hot in the second period, going 14-21 from the floor and an insurmountable 8-12 from three. Their 43 second half points put them in the driver's seat and carried them to a 20-point victory.
The Regents will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 28, when they come back home for a NACC matchup against Benedictine University at 7 p.m. CST in the Seaver Center.
