DE PERE, Wis. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team fell in the NACC Tournament quarterfinals to St. Norbert College, 75-61, on Tuesday.
DeVon Oregon ended his career as a Regent, tying his career-high in points with 23 while adding five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Jaden Bell and
Luke Stuckey each added 11 points, while Bell led the Regents in rebounding with nine boards.
It was a great start for Rockford to jump out to a 10-point 22-12 lead. St. Norbert then went on a 13-0 run in a span of 5:21 to take its first lead of the game, 25-22. The Regents and Green Knights went back and forth for a stretch, which included a fast-break basket from Oregon and a three-pointer from Stuckey, as the Regents regained a 31-30 lead with 4:04 remaining in the first half.
St. Norbert ended the half strong, finishing the remaining minutes of the half on a 12-3 run as the Green Knights went into the half up 42-34.
Unfortunately for the Regents, St. Norbert scored a three-point basket on the first possession of the half, and never looked back after Oregon converted on an old-fashioned three-point play on the following possession for the Regents, but the Green Knights proceeded to go on a 17-1 run to go up 62-38 with 11:40 left.
The Regents did not quit, eventually trimming the deficit to 12, but it was not enough to overcome St. Norbert's big run.
On the evening, the Regents shot 41.94% and struggled from three, shooting just 16.67%. Rockford outrebounded St. Norbert, 32-29.
This was the final game of the 2025-26 Rockford men's basketball season—thank you to everyone who supported throughout the season.
