ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's basketball team fell to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons on Wednesday night in the Seaver Center.
Nia Wilkerson led the team with 12 points. She also tied for the lead in rebounds with four, a number
Mercedes Morales and
Haylee West each reached as well.
Rockford was missing a couple big pieces.
Katie Paredes is still sidelined with her broken wrist, and
Te Simpson missed the game with a sprained ankle.
Coming into the game without their top two scorers, the Regents struggled offensively. They managed seven points in the first quarter.
The Falcons came out smoking. They got out in transition and finished a multitude of fast break layups. For the game, the Falcons shot 32-57 from the field, good for 56.1%.
The Regents couldn't keep up with the Falcons scoring, losing 80-24.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, February 7, when they head to Madison to take on the Edgewood University Eagles at 1 p.m. CST.
