CUW started hot jumping the Regents with a 12-2 start and did not slow down to dominate the first set. The Regents planted four kills from Lobue, Pedroza,
Josh Bowling, and
Carter Moore in the set.
Similar to the first set, CUW got off to a quick start to take a 7-1 lead and eventually built the deficit to 15 points, which was the largest lead of the set for the Falcons, and were able to hang on to win the second.
CUW closed out Rockford in the final set. The Regents were able to gain their first lead when they took a 3-2 advantage with kills from
Tucker Loegler Haig, and Pedroza in the opening stretch, and held the lead for a few more points with another kill from Bowling and an attack error from the Falcons, as Rockford found itself up 5-4. Unfortunately for the Regents, the Falcons proceeded to go on a 10-1 run to go up 14-6 as the Regents could not flip the momentum in their favor, as the Falcons won in NACC action.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, April 4, with a 1 p.m. CDT NACC match vs. Milwaukee School of Engineering to end the regular season at the Seaver Center.
