Verania Ortiz was appointed Graduate Assistant/Assistant Coach of the Rockford women's soccer program in August of 2022. She will be obtaining her MBA while on the women's soccer staff.
Ortiz began her collegiate career playing at Rock Valley College in 2018 where she pursued her Associates of Science. Ortiz later captained the women's team at RVC in 2019 and graduated with her degree in 2020.
Ortiz then moved on to Alverno College, a fellow NACC institution, where she spent her junior year on the Alverno women's team during their COVID-19 year. Instead of playing at Alverno her senior year, she began her coaching career, assisting the Milwaukee Area Technical College men's soccer team in 2021. Still enrolled Alverno while coaching, she focused on her academics and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelors of Science, emphasizing in Psychology.
