Junior pitcher Alex Easton has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 6, 2025. Easton made appearances on the mound in both of Rockford's NACC wins this past week. He went 6+ innings and left the game with a 1-0 lead against Aurora, before ultimately getting a no-decision in Rockford's 3-1 win. Easton then entered Saturday's game in the seventh against CUW with Rockford trailing 2-1 and two runners on. He got out of the jam and tossed a scoreless eighth and ninth to earn the win in the Regents' 5-2 comeback victory. For the week, Easton was 1-0 with a 1.08 ERA and 0.96 WHIP. He allowed just one run and only one extra base hit over his 8.1 innings while striking out five and walking none.
