ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Regents volleyball team returned to the Seaver Center for its first home match in nearly a month on Tuesday night. Rockford has spent basically its entire season up to this point on the road including a nine-match road trip before the Regents hosted the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons on Tuesday. The Regents hoped a return to the Seaver Center would translate into a win; however, the Falcons were too much for the Regents winning the match 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-16).
Katelyn Hasken (Lanark, Ill./Eastland) continues to be Rockford's top offensive threat. Hasken recorded a team-high 12 kills and a .314 hitting percentage. It was the eleventh time Hasken has had double-digit kills in a match this season.
Setter Taylor Rossi (Ingleside, Ill./Grant Community) had 24 of her team's 25 assists. Rossi also had 3 kills and 7 digs in the match.
Defensively the Regents were led by senior Heather Hyland (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere) and sophomore Emily Johnson (Santee, Calif./Santana). Hyland led all players with a match-high 18 digs while Johnson had a season-high 16 digs.
The volleyball team returns to the court on Friday, October 18th when the Regents welcome the Lakeland College Muskies to the Seaver Center. The match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
