MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team hit the road on Saturday to play the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors hoping to get their first win of the season. Rockford and Wisconsin Lutheran played a very competitive first half with the Warriors entering halftime up 2-0. However, the Warriors came out of the intermission and scored five goals in the final 45 minutes to seal the 7-0 victory.
The Regents were able to muster three shots with one of them coming on goal. Senior Antonio Richardson (Chicago, Ill./Rich South) and junior Diego Ramos (Chicago, Ill./Jefferson) each took one shot for Rockford on Saturday. However, it was Sam Medina-Conchi (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan) who had the best chance at scoring for the Regents. The senior took the shot just over halfway through the second half but the Wisconsin Lutheran goalie was able to make the save to deny the Regents and secure the 7-0 shutout.
The men's soccer team is once again on the road on October 1st when they travel to play the Benedictine University Eagles. The match is set for a 7:00 p.m. start time.
