ROCKFORD, Ill.- The Rockford University volleyball team returned to action Saturday to take on Lakeland College at the Seaver Center in another Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contest. The Regents started slow and could never recover falling in straight sets.
Lakeland raced out to a big lead in all three sets and Rockford was never able to recover falling by the final scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-10. Leading the Regents offensively was Marissa Plock (German Valley, Ill.) with 5 kills in 17 attempts. Taylor Rossi (Ingleside, Ill.) had a team-high 14 assists.
Defensively Rockford was led by Alex Storey (Dexter, Mich.) and Katie Fowler (Stillman Valley, Ill.) tallying 8 digs.
The Rockford University volleyball team returns to action Tuesday, October 20 against Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wis. with a scheduled start time of 7 p.m.
