ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team (1-7, 0-5 NACC) suffered a tough 98-61 loss to Aurora University (4-1, 2-1 NACC). Linzy Keller led the offensive charge for the Regents with 20 points and going 13-15 from the free-throw line. Emily Cox also had a great offensive night on the floor scoring 13 points. Neve Yerk contributed with 11 points on the night. The Regents went an impressive 78.3% from the free-throw line going 18-23 and played with a lot of heart. Unfortunately, Aurora's offense was to much in tonight's loss.
- Aurora's offense came out fired out, scoring the first 13-points of the game.
- Katlyn Fiorucci put a stop to the damage with a made jumper for the Regents to trail 13-2.
- The Spartans attacked the basket and after a three-point basket by Julie Galauner, Aurora was up 21-4 with 3:42 left to play in the first quarter.
- Rockford closed out the first quarter with a jumper made by Neve Yerk to trail 33-12.
- Aurora started the second quarter with a three-pointer to increase their lead 36-12.
- Linzy Keller hit a three-point jumper with 7:45 left to play in the second quarter, Aurora led 40-17.
- Emily Cox got in on the action, scoring back-to-back three-pointers to bring the score to 51-29 in the second quarter.
- The Regents went into the half with Aurora leading 55-31.
- Lexy Perez started off the third quarter for the Regents making a layup to bring the score to 55-33.
- Rockford tried to close the gap with another three-point basket coming from Emily Cox to trail 60-39.
- The Spartans broke it open with a scoring run to lead 73-44 with 4:00 left in the third quarter.
- Neve Yerk hit a huge three-point basket to give the Regents life. The Regents trailed the Spartans 73-47.
- Rockford's Linzy Keller drew a shooting foul beyond the arc with four seconds left to play in the third quarter and made all three free-throws to keep the Regents in the game, 79-54.
- Aurora went on a 6-2 basket scoring run in the fourth quarter to lead 93-58 with 1:38 left to play in the fourth quarter.
- The Regents could not come back from the deficit, losing 98-61.

The RU women's basketball team resumes NACC play on Saturday, December 14 at Edgewood College. Tip-off is set for 4:15 PM.
