ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's basketball team (4-3, 3-1 NACC) outscored Aurora University Spartans (2-5, 1-2 NACC) 101-93, in Saturday nights big win. The Regents effort was outstanding overcoming a deficit in the first half to take control of the game in the second half. Rockford's offense was led by Brandon Emerick, who went off with 29 points, going 7-10 from the three-point range. Rockford's offense was no match for the Spartans, as the Regents had the upper hand going 57.1% from the field and 47.6% from beyond the arc. Vincent Eugene had another stellar night with a double-double, scoring 24 points with 10 rebounds. Jamar Rivera made an impact with the teams second double-double, scoring 15 points with 10 rebounds. Another key contributor was Nathaniel Shead, adding 18 points to Rockford's blistering offense. Despite Aurora's efforts, they were not able to keep up with the Regents, losing the battle 101-93.
