ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team (3-21, 1-18 NACC) lost 82-38 Saturday night to second place Edgewood Eagles (21-2, 16-2 NACC). Rockford had a tough night as they struggled to get things going offensively. However, the Regents were outstanding from the free-throw line shooting 80%. Neve Yerk led Rockford's offensive charge with an impressive 17 points on the night. Emily Cox followed in a close second with 10 points on the night. Emily Cox is two 3-point baskets away from breaking the single-season made 3-pointers record with one more game left in the season.
- Edgewood started the game scoring the first five points.
- Rockford's Linzy Keller answered for the Regents by scoring the first two points to make it 5-2.
- After trading a couple of baskets Emily Cox made a layup for the Regents to trail a close 9-6 with 4:08 left in the first quarter.
