ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team (3-18, 1-15 NACC) lost 74-45 to the Marian University Sabres (4-16, 4-12 NACC). However, Emily Cox led the Regents with 12 points on the night. Emily Cox sank a 3-point basket just before the half for a huge career milestone tonight. She scored the 1,000th point of her collegiate career, an accomplishment that many strive for but few are able to attain.
- Marian jumped out to a 7-4 lead in the first quarter.
- Rockford's Emily Cox took back the lead 8-7 for the Regents after a 3-pointer with 2:22 left in the first quarter.
- Marian regained the lead at 14-10 with 1:02 left to play in the first quarter.
- The Regents fought back with Emily Cox knocking down another triple. Rockford trailed the Sabres by one point, 14-13 to end the first quarter.
- Marian increased its lead to start out the second quarter, making two buckets to lead 19-13.
- The Sabres went on a 5-2 scoring run to pull away 31-18 before halftime.
- Emily Cox closed out the first half for the Regents by draining a 3-point basket, bringing Rockford within 10 points down 31-21. With this 3-point basket, she achieved an impressive 1,000 collegiate career point milestone.
- After back and forth scoring opportunities, Rockford came within seven points when Linzy Keller made a layup with 6:33 left in the third quarter.
- Marian went on a 7-3 scoring run, closing out the third quarter up 51-34.

- Emily Cox tallied a collegiate career 1,001 points at the conclusion of tonight's game. She led the Regents with 12 points on the night. She also finished with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

- Jazsmin Blue had a team-high 7 rebounds with 2 points and 1 steal.
