LISLE, Ill. - The Regents women's soccer team (3-9, 2-7 NACC) fell 5-0 on the road Wednesday evening to the Benedictine University Eagles (5-10, 5-4 NACC). The Eagles outshot Rockford 19-6, including a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal. Benedictine scored a pair of goals in the first half and three more in the second half en route to the win.
- Rockford had an early scoring chance in the seventh minute of the match. However, Rianna Tovar's shot sailed wide left, as the match remained scoreless.
- The Eagles countered with a flurry of shots over the next several minutes, until Stephanie Hernandez found the back of the net in the 13th minute to give her team a 1-0 lead.
- Benedictine scored its second goal of the match in the 25th minute when Lyric Jones beat the keeper to put her team out in front 2-0.
- Rockford had a pair of looks at the goal over the final 15 minutes of the period, but unfortunately, both Samara Tanchuck and Rianna Tovar's shots missed wide of the goal, as Rockford entered the half trailing 2-0.
- The Eagles put the game out of reach with a trio of goals in the first 26 minutes of the second half en route to a 5-0 win.

The RU women's soccer team returns home on Saturday, October 16 to face St. Norbert College. The match has a scheduled start time of 11 AM at Wedgbury Stadium.
