LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Regents men's soccer team (5-8-1, 3-5-1 NACC) faced St. Norbert College (10-4-1, 9-0-0 NACC) in a close contest that resulted in a 1-0 loss for the Regents. St. Norbert put their undefeated conference record on the line against Rockford, and despite the difference in position in the standings, Rockford played them to a very balanced shot count, SNC with 12 and Rockford with 7. It took 50 minutes of play before a goal would be scored on a very lucky shot by St. Norbert that hit off the right post and into the back of the net. The Regents led in shots for the second half but couldn't find the goal to tie the game. SNC kept their conference record perfect, winning the match 1-0.
- It was very hard for either team to get the upper hand, but the ball was steadily in the Rockford half of the field. SNC forced Jonathan Eduardo Rosales to make 3 saves in the half, including a stunning diving save at the end of the first half to somehow keep the game tied.
- Abraham Gonzalez had the only first half shot for the Regents, off target.
- It was a very unfortunate start to the second half for Rockford. A slow rolling ball that snuck past the arms of Rosales and hit off the post and into the back of the net.
- A red card handed out in the 58th minute put the Green Knights down to only 10 players.
- Abraham Gonzalez and Javier Palacios both put a shot on goal, but the shots were saved by the SNC goalkeeper.
- The clock ran out of time and St. Norbert won the match in regulation 1-0.
