LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team (2-7-0, 1-5-0 NACC) was beaten by top conference opponent Concordia University-Wisconsin (10-3-0, 6-0-0 NACC) Saturday evening at Wedgbury Stadium. It was the Falcons game from start to finish, putting up 27 shots, 13 on goal, scoring 5. Rockford looked out of sync until closer to the end of the match when they found small openings but couldn't convert, eventually hearing the final horn and finishing with a loss, 5-0.
- It took one minute for the Falcons to score. CUW found an opening to take a shot outside the box and bent it around goalkeeper Morgan Dolphin.
- Mia Ostler would get a free kick try from just outside the box but missed the net on her shot.
- CUW would strike immediately after on a pass from the end line to a waiting CUW player, putting it in the back of the net.
- A lead pass in the 17th minute put the Falcons in a great spot to score, and they would once again capitalize with another goal.
- Another great pass from CUW helped them find the net for a fourth time in the 27th minute.
- Rianna Tovar would get an amazing shot off towards the end of the half, but it would be denied by the Falcons goalkeeper on a spectacular save.
- The second half would be very quiet for the first 7 minutes until another great chance for Rianna Tovar was fired directly at the goalkeeper, making the save.
- Then, in the 82nd, a corner kick on the near side of the field would find the head of a CUW player who would get the 5th and final goal of the evening.
- Rockford would find some great runs that were a touch too far and ended up in the goalkeeper's hands.
- The Falcons would run out the clock leaving the final score at 5-0.
- Mia Ostler had 3 shots on the day to lead the Regents.
- Rianna Tovar had 2 shots, both on goal.
- Morgan Dolphin recorded 8 saves in the game but was very reliable and helped hold back the CUW offense.

The RU women's soccer team is on the road next Wednesday when they get set to take on Concordia University-Chicago. The NACC matchup is set to kickoff at 6pm.
