MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Regents (5-10-1, 3-7-1 NACC) dropped their final road match of the season 5-0 on Saturday afternoon to the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors (6-11-0, 4-7-0 NACC). Rockford actually dominated the first half of the match but was unable to come away with any goals. The Regents outshot the Warriors 5-1 over the first 45 minutes and held WLC without a shot on goal, but unfortunately, entered the half in a scoreless tie. The second half however belonged to the Warriors. Wisconsin Lutheran held a 15-6 advantage in shots and scored five goals en route to the 5-0 win.
- The Regents held the Warriors at bay for the entire first half, allowing just one shot attempt from around 25 yards away, which was blocked by an RU defender.Â
- Rockford then had a trio of scoring chances over a six-minute span midway through the half.Â
- Simeon Adesina had two of those chances. The first of which was saved by a diving WLC keeper and the other missed just right of the goal.Â
- The other shot came from Nolan Beard, which was blocked by a defender around the six-yard box.Â
- Rockford's final two shot attempts came in the final four minutes of the first half. The first of which came at the 41:26 mark when Christopher Parea's shot was saved by a leaping Bryce Beckley of Wisconsin Lutheran. The Regents' final shot prior to halftime came from Baruani Kamangila, but it was blocked by the Warrior defense, and the match entered halftime in a scoreless tie.Â
- Unfortunately, the second half belonged to Wisconsin Lutheran.Â
- The Warriors broke the scoreless tie in the 49th minute when Nate Wenzel found the back of the net.Â
- Wisconsin Lutheran then put the match away with a trio of goals over a ten-minute span midway through the second half, to make it a 4-0 game.
- The Warriors tacked on one final goal in the 86th minute en route to a 5-0 win.

The RU men's soccer team will conclude its season on Wednesday, October 27 at home against Illinois Tech. The match has a scheduled start time of 7 PM at Wedgbury Stadium.
