MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The RU women's soccer team (3-12-0, 2-10-0 NACC) dropped its penultimate match of the season 5-0 to the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors (4-12-1, 3-8-1 NACC). The Warriors scored a trio of goals over a seven-minute span in the first half to seize control of the match. Wisconsin Lutheran tacked on one additional goal right before halftime and another late in the second half to secure the victory. The Warriors pressured the Regents all match long, tallying 28 total shots, including 14 shots on goal. Rockford did have a handful of scoring chances as well, but could not convert any of its nine shots, including five of which were on goal.
- Wisconsin Lutheran opened with a trio of goals in the first 22 minutes of the match.
- Miriam Carreno broke the scoreless tie in the 16th minute, when she found the back of the net to give WLC a 1-0 lead.
- Carreno then scored her second goal of the match at the 18:19 mark, to make it a 2-0 Wisconsin Lutheran advantage.
- The Warriors' Katie Wasiak made it a 3-0 game after scoring her fifth goal of the season in the 22nd minute.
- Rockford's Mia Ostler had a pair of looks at the net over the next six minutes, but unfortunately, came up empty on both occasions.
- Wisconsin Lutheran then made it 4-0 in the 39th minute off a goal by Signe Kind.
- However, Rockford did have a trio of scoring opportunities in the closing minutes of the first half. Morgan Dolphin, Rianna Tovar and Mia Ostler all recorded shots on goal over a four-minute span, but unfortunately, the Regents were denied each time by the WLC keeper.
- The second half was a lot quieter for both teams.
- The lone goal of the period came off the foot of WLC's Maggie Stebbins, which gave her team the 5-0 win.

The RU women's soccer team concludes its season on Wednesday, October 27 at Illinois Tech. The match has a scheduled start time of 7 PM.
