DE PERE, Wis. - The Regents women's volleyball team (2-15, 0-6 NACC) dropped a pair of road matches on Friday to the St. Norbert College Green Knights (13-10, 4-2 NACC) and the UW-Stout Blue Devils (10-8). Rockford fell 25-13, 25-16, 25-12 in the opener to the Green Knights and then lost 25-15, 25-15, 25-22
to the Blue Devils. In the first match of the day, the Green Knights used a 36-13 advantage in kills and an 11-1 edge in service aces to propel themselves to victory. It was a similar scene in the second match, with UW-Stout holding a 48-24 advantage in kills and a 10-2 edge in service aces.

St. Norbert 3 Rockford 0
- The Green Knights opened the match on a 9-1 run to take control of the first set.
- Rockford was able to get as close as five points, at 12-7, but unfortunately, St. Norbert scored the next eight points en route to winning the first set 25-13.
- The second set got off to a much better start, as the Regents jumped out to a quick 7-3 lead. Della Crain opened the set with back-to-back kills and Nicole Eggers smashed home a kill of her own, to give Rockford an early four-point advantage.
- With Rockford still holding a 10-8 lead, the Green Knights went on a 9-0 run to jump out in front 17-10.
- The Regents were unable to get any closer than five points the remainder of the way and dropped the second set by a final score of 25-16.
- Rockford again fell behind early to start the third set.
- The Green Knights used a 10-2 run to open the set and take a commanding eight-point lead.
- St. Norbert led by as many 14 points, before ultimately winning the third set 25-12 and the match 3-0.
UW-Stout 3 Rockford 0
- The Blue Devils got off to a hot start with a 12-5 run to begin the match.
- Fortunately, the Regents answered right back with a 6-1 run of their own, to pull back within two points. Rockford took advantage of multiple Blue Devil errors and then capped off the spurt with a Melody Moreno kill.
- With Stout still holding a slim 16-13 lead, the Blue Devils used a 9-2 run to win the first set 25-15 and take a 1-0 lead.
- The second set went back-and-forth over the opening moments.
- With the set tied at 4-4, UW-Stout scored six of the next seven points to grab a quick 10-5 advantage.
- Rockford promptly answered with a 3-1 run of its own, including a Taylor Chastain kill, to make it 11-8.
- The two schools continued to go back and forth trading points until the Blue Devils went on a 9-3 run to win the second set 25-15 and take a 2-0 lead.
- The third set was a completely different story, with Rockford playing its best volleyball of the entire day.
- Rockford stormed out of the gates with three straight points and grabbed a quick 3-0 lead. Alexxana Burton and Nicole Eggers each smashed home of kill over that span.
- The Regents would eventually stretch their lead to as many as five points midway through the set. Rockford used a 6-3 run, with kills from Melody Moreno, Nicole Eggers and Taylor Chastain, to take a 17-12 advantage
- Unfortunately, Stout answered right back with a 7-2 run of its own, to tie the set at 19-19.
- The back and forth nature of the set continued, when the Regents scored three of the next four points to retake the lead at 22-20. Nicole Eggers and Melody Moreno each tallied a kill over that span.
- However, the Blue Devils scored the final five points of the match, to take the set 25-22 and the match 3-0.

The RU women's volleyball team hits the road again on Saturday, October 9 for a pair of matches at Lakeland University. Rockford is set to play the Muskies at noon and then Carroll University at 2 PM.
