- However, the Regents closed the period on a 9-0 run to take an 11-8 lead into the second. Naynay Clark was absolutely on fire over that span, scoring 7 points on a perfect 5-for-5 performance at the free throw line and a 1-for-1 effort from the floor.
- Amber Krause then expanded the Regents' lead to a game-high 6 points with a triple to open the second quarter.
- Unfortunately, the Cougars promptly went on a 7-0 run over a 3:08 span to retake the lead at 15-14 midway through the period.
- Rockford and Concordia Chicago went back-and-forth over the remainder of the quarter, with CUC scoring the final three points to take a 25-20 lead into the half.
- The third quarter got off to a great start, as Rockford scored the first four points and pulled back within one. Da Sani Hannah connected on back-to-back layups less than a minute into the quarter and made it just a 25-24 Cougar advantage.
- The Cougars would extend their lead to as many as 9 points at the 5:37 mark before Rockford came roaring back over the final few minutes.
- Rockford slowly chipped away at the Cougar lead, using a 12-4 run over a 5:17 span to pull back within a single point, with just 20 seconds left in the third. Pamela Colmenares led the way with 7 points, including a triple to start the run. Da Sani Hannah added 4 points, including a layup to cap off the Regents' run.
- CUC would make a free throw in the closing seconds to take a 40-38 lead into the fourth and final quarter.
- Unfortunately, things did not go well for Rockford in the fourth. CUC scored the first 19 points of the quarter en route to a 63-46 win.
- Da Sani Hannah played an outstanding game off the bench. Hannah poured in a season-high 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting and went a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line. She also tied her season-high with 7 rebounds and 2 steals.
- Pamela Colmenares also had an excellent game for Rockford. Colmenares tallied a season-high 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting and had 2 steals.
- Naynay Clark was the final Regent to crack double-digits. Clark finished with a season-high 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
