RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The RU women's basketball team (0-4, 0-4 NACC) lost 59-50 on the road Saturday evening to the Concordia University Chicago Cougars (2-3, 2-0 NACC). The Regents continued their trend of playing better each game this season, but came up just short in the final quarter. Rockford led for the majority of both the second and third quarters, including holding a game-high 10-point lead with 3:08 remaining in the third. The Regents also outrebounded their opponent for the third time in four games, holding sizable 43-37 advantage on the boards. Unfortunately, it was ultimately a difficult fourth quarter that was Rockford's undoing. The Regents were outscored 21-7 over the final 10 minutes, leading to a tough 59-50 loss.
- Neither team was able to get much of anything going offensively in the first quarter, with both teams scoring just nine points in the period. Neve Yerk led the RU offensive attack with 4 points on a perfect 2-for-2 shooting.

- Rockford opened the third on a 15-2 run to take its largest lead of the game at 37-27. Naynay Clark and Neve Yerk led the charge with six and five points respectively.
- Unfortunately, CUC once again closed the quarter strong, using a 7-2 run to cut the Regents' lead back down to five points heading into the fourth.
- The Cougars continued to build upon their momentum in the opening few minutes of the final period. CUC scored the first 13 points to take its largest lead thus far with only 5:38 left in the game.
- Rockford continued to fight and slowly chipped away at the Cougar lead over the next few minutes. Roshanda Stevens, Kiara Stevens and Au'Drina Terhune combined to score 7 points over the next 3:01, with Kiara Stevens draining a jumper at the 2:21 mark to make it just a 54-50 Cougar lead.
- Unfortunately, CUC scored the final five points of the game to seal the 59-50 win.
- Neve Yerk finished with a team and season-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Yerk also added 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.
