LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University men's soccer team (0-2-1, 0-2-1 NACC) fought hard against the Concordia University Chicago Cougars (0-2-1, 0-1-1 NACC) on Wednesday night at Sportscore Two. The two teams battled hard the entire game, but neither could find the back of the net. The battle continued through two overtime periods as neither team would budge defensively. The Regents outshot the Cougars 19 to 11 with seven shots on goal.
- In the first half, Rockford had its fair share of chances in a back-and-forth game as the Regents registered seven shots to Concordia Chicago's two.
- Maverick Attwood made a great save towards the end of the first half to keep the score knotted at 0-0.
- In the second half, the Cougars tallied just four shots with three of those being on target compared to the Regent's seven shots with two on goal.
- The Regent defense did well all night to close on attackers and prevent the Cougars from getting into positions to score.
- Between both overtime periods, Rockford and Concordia Chicago registered five shots making for a competitively even matchup.
- The Regents defense did well to keep the Cougars out of the scoring zone and held to a limited amount of shots.
