  • After the Eagles scored the first two points of the third set, Rockford ran off four straight points to take the lead. Nicole Eggers led the way with two service aces and a kill, while Della Crain also added a kill.
  • The game would go back-and-forth until the Eagles used a 9-2 run midway through, to retake the lead at 15-8.

  • The Regents outscored Benedictine 6-2 late in the set to tie it at 20-20. Della Crain led the way with 3 kills over that span.
  • Unfortunately, the Eagles scored five of the final seven points to win the set 25-22 and take a 2-0 lead.
  • Benedictine slowly began to pull away in the opening moments of the third set, taking an early 10-5 advantage.
  • The Eagles would extend their lead to as many as six points before Rockford scored three straight points to make it a 16-13 game.
