PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team (1-3) fell 8-0 on the road Sunday afternoon to the UW-Platteville Pioneers (3-2). The Regents fell behind early, surrendering five first half goals and were never able to recover. The Pioneers would tack on three more goals in the second half en route to an 8-0 win.
- Platteville broke the scoreless tie in the tenth minute of the match. Matt Walter scored his first of three first half goals to put his team up 1-0.
- The Pioneers would tack on two more goals over the next eight and a half minutes and extend their lead to 3-0.
- Platteville added fourth goal in the 26th minute and a fifth in the 35th minute to take a 5-0 advantage into the half.
- Unfortunately, things did not get any better for Rockford in the second half. The Regents allowed a pair of goals in the first five minutes and one more in the 86th minute to fall by a final score of 8-0.

The RU men's soccer team will play its fourth straight road match on Wednesday, September 15 at Beloit College. The match has a scheduled start time of 4:30 PM.
