BELOIT, Wis. - The Regents men's soccer team (2-3-0) cruised to an easy 4-0 win on the road Wednesday afternoon against the Beloit College Buccaneers (2-2-1). Rockford made the most of its opportunities throughout the match, as the Regents converted on four of their five shots on goal. The Regents scored a trio of goals over a ten-minute span midway through the first half and never looked back. Rockford would tack on one final goal in the 53rd minute to cap off an impressive road victory.
- The Regents jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute of the match. Marcos Gutierrez found the back off the net off an assist from Marcos Morales Hernandez for his first goal of the season.Â
- It would then take Rockford less than minutes to extend its lead to 2-0. Baruani Kamangila found the bottom right corner of the net off an assist from Simeon Adesina for his third goal of the year.
- Just over two minutes later, Simeon Adesina struck for his first goal this season and put Rockford out in front 3-0.Â
- Jeremiah Tobar would add an insurance goal at the 52:59 mark to make it a 4-0 Regent lead.Â
- Four goals were more than enough for Rockford goalkeeper Maverick Attwood and the rest of the Regent defense. Rockford held Beloit to just eight total shot attempts and Attwood was a perfect three-for-three in save opportunities, as Rockford earned its second shutout of the year.

The RU men's soccer team will open NACC play on Saturday, September 18 against Marian University. The match has a scheduled start time of 3 PM at Wedgbury Stadium.
