MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team (4-4-0, 2-1-0) fell 3-0 on the road Saturday afternoon to the MSOE Raiders (5-3-1, 3-0-0 NACC). The match was actually much closer than what the final score might indicate. Although Rockford was outshot 17-9 in the match, each team had an identical five shots on goal. Additionally, the Regents held the Raiders without a shot on goal in the first half. However, MSOE seemed to find its rhythm early on the second half. The Raiders scored a pair of goals in the first ten minutes of the second half and then added one more in the 70th minute en route to the 3-0 victory.
- Rockford recorded the only three shots on goal for either team in the first half.
- Christopher Perea tallied the first of those in just the fifth minute of the match.
- Nolan Beard and Marcos Gutierrez then had back-to-back scoring opportunities in the 21st minute; however, the Regents came up empty all three times, as the match entered the intermission scoreless.
- MSOE would then break the scoreless tie very early on in the second half.
- Steven Arthur and Connor Dees found the back of the net on the Raiders' first two shot attempts of the second half, to give MSOE a 2-0 advantage.
- Rockford had a couple of looks at the goal over the next few minutes, but shots by Pedro Acosta and Jeremiah Tobar were saved by MSOE keeper Ron Marchionna.
- Steven Arthur then scored his second goal of the match at the 70:12 mark to seal the 3-0 Raider win.
- Jeremiah Tobar led Rockford with 2 shots and 1 shot on goal.
- Seven other Regents all had one shot, including four with a shot on goal.
- Maverick Attwood had 3 saves.

The RU men's soccer team will play its seventh road match of the season on Wednesday, September 29 at Dominican University. The match has a scheduled start time of 4 PM.
