AURORA, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team fell 3-0 on the road Tuesday afternoon to the Aurora University Spartans. As has been the case for many of Rockford's games so far this year, the Regents were able to stay within striking distance during the first half, but unfortunately, could not mount a comeback in the second half. Aurora held just a 1-0 lead at halftime, but scored a pair of goals early in the second half en route to a 3-0 win.
- Aurora's Abbey Kay broke the scoreless tie in the 14th minute with her second goal of the season.
- The score remained unchanged until Lauren Bliefernicht found the back of the net in the 53rd minute to put the Spartans out in front 2-0.Â
- Aurora's Cassandra Garcia scored the final goal of the match in the 73rd minute to seal the 3-0 win.
