Women's Basketball Bested by St. Norbert at Home

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team fell to the St. Norbert College Green Knights 30-65 on Saturday evening. St. Norbert put its perfect conference record on the line against the Regents and were able to extend it to four conference games without a loss. Rockford looked to be in competition with the Green Knights, but an offensive drought for the Regents in the third quarter saw SNC build a 32-point lead that put the game well out of reach. Audrina Terhune was the main contributor on the Rockford offense, leading the team in points with 11.

  • Rockford struggled early in the game, getting shutout for almost four minutes to start while St. Norbert went up by 10.
  • The Regents got on the board after an Audrina Terhune jump shot and a Tyra Clark layup put the score at 10-4.
  • St. Norbert and Rockford traded baskets to conclude the quarter, Audrina Terhune continued her scoring and hit a three, but the Green Knights led after one quarter 20-10.
  • It was an even 8-8 battle to start quarter number two, three different Regents scored, including four more points from Audrina Terhune.
  • Both sides struggled to score down the stretch, and a single basket by St. Norbert would be the only points in the last four minutes of play before halftime, leaving the score at 30-18 at the break.
  • It was a very quiet third quarter for Rockford, only scoring five total points including a Lexi Keating three-pointer. St. Norbert on the other hand, piled on points with 25 total over the entire quarter, building a dominant lead, 55-23.
  • St. Norbert held its lead for the entire fourth quarter, holding the Regents to single digits for the third-straight quarter, and eventually taking the win over the Regents 64-30.
