LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University men's soccer team (1-1-3) dropped its first game of the season to Coe College (1-3-1) on Sunday afternoon. The Regents were able to win in the shot category 23-13, but Coe made the best of its opportunities and got the win. Coe struck first, and after a Rockford equalizer, scored the game winner in the 77th minute.
Abraham Gonzalez scored the goal for Rockford, taking advantage of the goalkeeper being out of position.

- Coe College got the first goal of the match, in the 22nd minute with a shot just under the crossbar out of reach of goalkeeper Gustavo Lazcano. The Kohawks lead 1-0.
- Rockford came out of the half and put together some solid opportunities. The Regents finally had it pay off in the 65th minute. A rebound in the box fell to Abraham Gonzalez who put it past the goalkeeper to equalize the game at one goal each.
- Coe managed to score one more in the 77th minute on a shot into the lower right of the goal to take the lead 2-1. The Kohawks held the lead for the remainder of the game and secured the victory over Rockford.
