MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University women's basketball team fell 58-36 on the road Saturday afternoon to the two-time reigning NACC Champion, Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors. Rockford was able to hang with the Warriors throughout the first quarter, but WLC outscored Rockford 16-4 in the second and never looked back. Wisconsin Lutheran led by as many as 28 points late in the fourth, before ultimately prevailing by a twenty-two-point margin.
- The Regents led multiple times over the first eight minutes of action.
- Rockford took its first lead of the game off a pair of Tyra Clark free throws just over three minutes in.
- After the Warriors jumped back in front, Julie Bailey drained a three-pointer at the 3:45 mark to put the Regents on top 8-7.
- Unfortunately, Wisconsin Lutheran promptly scored the next 14 points, the final seven of the first and first seven of the second quarter, to take a 21-8 advantage.
- Rockford cut the lead back down to 11 at one point, but Wisconsin Lutheran closed the half strong and took a 30-12 lead into the break.
- Unfortunately, the Regents were unable to get any closer than 13 points the rest of the way, as Wisconsin Lutheran went on to win by a final score of 58-36.
