ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team fell to Wisconsin Lutheran in its first home game of 2023 by a final score of 79-37. The Regents struggled in multiple areas throughout the contest, allowing the Warriors to take over the game halfway through the first quarter, and never give the lead back. The one bright spot for the Regents was smart defensive play when it came to fouls. Wisconsin Lutheran was only awarded eight free throws the entire game, compared to the 29 Rockford took.
Katie Paredes had her second-straight double-digit scoring game, recording a team-high 13 points.
- The Regents actually began the contest with the lead, going up first with a Katie Paredes jumper. Unfortunately, Rockford only scored one more basket the entire quarter while Wisconsin Lutheran took the lead and began building on it, making the score 19-4 after the first quarter of play.

- Coming out of halftime, the Warriors continued to pour it on, dominating the third quarter and holding Rockford to 7 additional points before the final quarter of play.
- With the game firmly out of reach, Rockford managed to keep up with the Warriors in the final quarter of play, scoring 17 points compared to WLC's 18.
