LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University men's soccer team took a tough 6-1 loss to the visitng MSOE Raiders in a Wednesday afternoon NACC matchup. MSOE was able to take control of the game, leading in shots (25-4), shots on goal (18-2) and corner kicks (8-2). The Regents were able to get their lone score in the match with a goal from
Nolan Beard in the 71st minute, but found it tough to get anything else going and loss the match 6-1.
- MSOE got things going early with a goal just 13 seconds into the match to put be up 1-0.
- Kavi Wadhwa tried to bring his team right back in the match with a shot in the 1st minute, but his shot was wide.
- The Raiders were able to cash in again in the 7th minute with a goal from Lukas Schwenke to put the Raiders up 2-0 over the Regents.
- The Raiders tacked onto their lead with a goal in the 19th minute with a goal from Daniel D'Amato to boost their lead to 3-0.
- The Raiders tried to score again in the 23rd, 24th, 32nd, 33rd, 36th, and 39th minute but all attempts were saved by Andik Vidaurri.
- MSOE again scored in the 40th and 44th minute to boost its lead to 5-0 over the Regents before halftime.
- The Raiders tacked on again with another goal in the 48th minute to extend the lead to 6-0.
- The Regents were able to finally cash in with a goal from Nolan Beard in the 71st minute to make the score 6-1.
- Devin Hurtado and Kevin Lloreda both got shots off for the Regents, but neither attempt resulted in anything and the Regents dropped this match 6-1.
