LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team took a tough 6-0 loss to the visiting Dominican University Stars in a rainy, Wednesday night matchup. Dominican led in nearly every facet of the match, leading in shots and shots on goal (31-0), (17-0) and corner kicks (10-0). Rockford led in saves (11-0). The Stars were able to find the back of the net three times in each half to walk away with a 6-0 win over the Regents.
- The Stars tried to get things going early with 4Â separate shots on goal, but Kaeleigh Taylor was able to deny each chance to keep the match scoreless.
- Dominican was able to find the net twice in the 23rd and 24th minutes to take a quick 2-0 lead over Rockford.
- Dominican was able to add on again in the 38th minute and walk into the half with a comortable 3-0 lead.Â
- Dominican again found the back of the net in the 66th minute off of a corner kick goal by Grace Larson to give her team a 4-0 lead.
- The Stars tacked on again in the 70th and 88th minutes to extend their lead to 6-0 and take the win over the Regents.
