DE PERE, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team fell 3-0 on the road Sunday afternoon to the St. Norbert College Green Knights. Sunday's matchup was a battle between two of the top six teams in the NACC, with both teams trying to earn a berth in the NACC Tournament. Unfortunately, it was the Green Knights who jumped on the Regents with two first-half goals and then tacked on one more in the second half to secure the victory. Despite the loss, Rockford is currently in sixth place and right in the thick of the race to qualify for the conference tournament. The Regents have four games remaining and will need to end the season in the top 8 in order to earn their first ever berth in the NACC Tournament..
- The Green Knights broke the scoreless tie just 23 seconds into the match. Joe Meade found the back of the net on a through ball from John OConnor to make it 1-0.
- St. Norbert added another goal at the 31 minute mark, this one by Kevin Ramriez, to take a 2-0 advantage into the half.
- The Green Knights then made it 3-0 in the 49th minute off a goal by Tyler Bonin.
- From that point forward, the Regents actually outshot the Green Knights 6-2.
- Unfortunately, all three of Rockford's shots on goal were saved by the St. Norbert keeper, and consequently, the Regents fell by a final score of 3-0.
