Jaden Bell had a season high 21 points to help propel the Regents to a 74-71 win over the visiting Beloit College Buccaneers. The Regents had a somewhat slow first half, starting out 12-28 (42.86%), but they turned it on in the second half, producing a 17-29 (58.62%) clip. The Regents put up a 29-57 (50.9%) day overall and 9-24 (37.5%) from beyond the arc. Rockford was able to overcome a 7 point deficit after the first half and storm back to take the 74-71 win and start out the season 3-0 for the second straight season.
- The Regents got out to a 16-13 lead, coming off production from 7 different scorers.
- Beloit was able to take the lead from the Regents after a quick 8-0 swing to take a 21-16 lead midway through the first half.
- The Regents would get it as close as 23-22 after a triple by Jaden Bell, but Beloit was able to find its way to a 37-30 lead going into the half.
- The Regents got out the gate quickly in the second half with a triple coming from Noody Lacey and Mateo Fernandez Solari.
- Rockford was able to knot the game up at a 40-40 tie after a fast break layup by Jaden Bell, coming off of a steal by Mateo Fernandez Solari.
- Beloit was able to take a 21-15 advantage over the Regents and take a 61-55 lead with a tick over 8 minutes to go in the game.
- The Regents were able to go on a 14-6 run to take a 69-67 lead, capped off by a jumper by Micah Swanson.
- The Regents found their way to a 74-71 lead after a free throw by Mateo Fernandez Solari with just 4 seconds left and after a missed desperation three by the Bucs, the Regents were able to get the victory.
