WATERTOWN, Wis. - The Rockford University women's basketball team cruised to an easy 83-26 win on Tuesday evening at Maranatha Baptist University. It was both the most points the Regents have scored against the Sabercats and the largest margin of victory for Rockford in any game since the creation of the NACC for the 2006-07 season. The outcome of the game was not in doubt, as the Regents never trailed and did not allow Maranatha to score in double-figures in any quarter. Twelve different Regents scored in the game, led by 14 points off the bench from
D'Asia Washington. Rockford dominated every statistical category, including forcing a season-high 41 turnovers and converting them into an incredible 48 points.
- Lexi Keating nailed the game's first shot attempt to give the Regents a 3-0 lead less than 15 seconds in and never looked back.
- Rockford built its advantage up to as many as 13 in the first quarter off a D'Asia Washington layup with 2:48 left.
- With the Regents leading by 14 at the 7:44 mark in the second, Rockford scored the final 17 points of the half to take a 42-11 advantage into the break. Six different Regents scored over that span, led by five points from Nia Wilkerson.
- Rockford then proceeded to go on a 16-0 run midway through the third, capped off by a Nia Wilkerson triple, to give the Regents a 60-13 lead. Rockford again used a balanced attack, with five different Regents scoring, led by five points from Tyra Clark.
- The Regents would score the final ten points of the third and never led by less than 50 points the rest of the way en route to an easy 83-26 win.
- D'Asia Washington finished with a game-high 14 points, 3 rebounds,1 assist and 1 steal.
- Tyra Clark had 12 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
