Regents Break Ten School Records but Drop a Nail-Biter to the Green Knights

DE PERE, Wis. - The Rockford University men's volleyball team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss on Saturday afternoon to the St. Norbert College Green Knights. Rockford took a quick 2-0 lead after winning the first two sets in thrilling fashion (25-23 and 30-28). The Green Knights responded by forcing a fifth and deciding set by eking a 25-23 win in the third and coasting to a 25-13 win in fourth. Unfortunately, Rockford never led in the fifth and dropped its second straight match to St. Norbert. Despite the loss, Rockford broke a total of ten school records in the match. Josh Albers broke the single-game assists (56) and assists per set (11.2) records, and Da'Quan Bates broke the single-game digs record (24). The Regents also broke team records for kills (62), assists (60), assists per set (12.0), digs (94), digs per set (18.8), attacks (187) and attacks per set (37.4).
