DE PERE, Wis. - The Rockford University baseball team dropped both games of its road doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at St. Norbert College. Rockford fell 7-2 in opener and 3-1 in the nightcap. The Regents committed six errors in the game one, which led to five unearned runs. The RU defense was much better in game two, but the offense was still unable to get much of anything going. The Regents' lone run came in the top of the ninth, but it was not enough, as Rockford dropped its fourth straight NACC game to St. Norbert.

St. Norbert 7 Rockford 2
- St. Norbert scored the first five runs of the game to leap out to a 5-0 lead. The Green Knights plated a pair of unearned runs in the second inning off a Carson Krumrei two-run double. St. Norbert then added three more runs, one of which was unearned, in the bottom of the fourth. The Green Knights had three hits in the frame and capitalized on a pair of Regent errors to take a commanding 5-0 advantage.
- Rockford finally broke through with two runs in the top of the sixth inning. Jonathan Leon got things started with a leadoff single and worked his way over to second base on a groundout. Ryan Stejskal then drove in Leon on an RBI single, to cut the SNC lead to 5-1. After back-to-back singles from Alex Perez and Jared Herzog loaded the bases, BJ Groves drove in Stejskal with a sacrifice fly and made it a 5-2 game.
- Unfortunately, the Green Knights scored two more unearned runs in the bottom half of the inning. St. Norbert took advantage of two more Rockford errors to score its two runs and extend its lead to 7-2.
- The Regents had just one batter reach base over the final three innings and unfortunately, dropped game one by a final score of 7-2.
- Rockford University starter Tommy Maher pitched very throughout the game. Maher tossed his second complete game of the season. He allowed just two earned runs and struck out six batters.
St. Norbert 3 Rockford 1
- The nightcap was a pitchers' duel from start to finish. Rockford University starting pitcher Kent Evans Jr. went 7.1 innings and allowed only two earned runs. Meanwhile, St. Norbert College starting pitcher Cole Bzdawka tossed seven shutout innings.
- It was the Green Knights who struck first with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. St. Norbert had just one hit in the frame, but it was a big two-run double from Devin Geary that gave the Green Knights a 2-0 advantage.
- St. Norbert would add an unearned run in the bottom of the sixth. The Green Knights had just one hit, but took advantage of a Regent error, to extend its lead to 3-0.
- Rockford was unable to get anything going offensively until the top of the ninth. Rockford loaded the bases with no one out after a Cobi Cooper walk, a TJ Cox hit by pitch and a Blaise Mace single. Two batters later, Joseph Stagowski drove in Cooper on an RBI fielder's choice, to trim the Green Knight lead down to 3-1. Unfortunately, St. Norbert retired the next batter to end the game and secure the 3-1 win.

Game 1
- Tommy Maher fired his second complete game of the season on Tuesday. Maher went all 8 innings, allowing just 2 earned runs and striking out 6. Maher now has both of Rockford's complete games this season.
- Alex Perez finished 2-for-4.
- Ryan Stejskal went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
- Jonathan Leon was 1-for-4 with a run scored.
