LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University men's soccer team tied with Marian 1-1 in a Saturday afternoon NACC matchup. Rockford lead in basically every category of the game, leading in shots (13-7), shots on goal (4-1), and corner kicks (5-3). Each team was able to find the net in this match, but neither team was able to overtake the lead and the match ended tied 1-1.
- Marian got things going early in the match with a goal in the 9th minute from Logan Holevas to give the Sabres a 1-0 lead.
- The Regents tried to respond quickly with a shots from Abraham Gonzalez and Javier Palacios, but neither attempt was succesful.
- In the 35th minutes the Regents found the back of the net on a goal from Abraham Gonzalez off of a free kick, tying the match 1-1.
- The Regents got two more shots from Javier Palacios and Matt Polovin, but neither would find the frame, keeping the game knotted up going into the half.
- Baruani Kamangila tried to give the Regents the lead in the 50th minute with a shot on goal, but it was saved by the Sabre goalkeeper.
- Each team had chances to break the scoreless tie, but neither were able to capitalize, keeping the game 1-1 and resulting in a tie.
