LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University Regents men's soccer team dropped a tough game to Eureka College 4-3. The Regents made a comeback attempt in the second half, outscoring Eureka 2-1, but unfortunately it was not enough for the Regents to overcome the deficit of 4 goals.
- The Red Devils got the scoring started early with a goal in the 5th minute by Khalil Alleyne making the score 1-0 Eureka.
- The Regents responded with a goal in the 29th minute on an assist by Raul Martinez to Francesco Stoner to equalize the game 1-1.
- Eureka was able to score again in the 33rd minute to steal the lead back from the Regents.
- Right at the end of the first half the Red Devils would tack on with a goal from Isaac Noriega from a corner kick making the score 3-1 Eureka as the first half came to an end.
- The Regents started their comeback attempt in the 68th minute on a corner kick goal from Francesco Stoner to make the score 3-2.
- Eureka would again respond with a goal in the 79th minute to give themselves a 4-2 lead.
- Raul Martinez would score for the Regents off of another corner kick goal to give the Regents a fighting chance down 4-3.
