ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team fell 1-0 at home against the St. Norbert College Green Knights in a Saturday afternoon conference match. Even though the Regents were outshot 27-3 and 6-1 on shots on goal, they were able to keep the match tight until the late stages. The first half ended in a scoreless tie thanks to some well-played defense on both sides with only one shot on goal from either side. The Green Knights were finally able to break the scoreless tie in the 72nd minute and although Rockford battled until the end, St. Norbert was able to hold on for the 1-0 shutout.
- The first half opened very tight until The Regents had an opportunity to take an early lead with a shot by Jasmine Landberg, but her attempt unfortunately went wide.
- The Green Knights had a chance to break the scoreless tie with a shot in the 32nd minute but the try was saved by Regent keeper Kaeleigh Taylor.
- Neither team was able to get anything going for the remainder of the half and the first half ended in a scoreless tie.
- St. Norbert threatened early in the second half with seven different shot attempts before the 60th minute, but four of the attempts went wide and three were saved by Kaeleigh Taylor to keep the match tied.
- The Green Knights were able to break the scoreless tie in the 72nd after a goal from Maddie Dudan to give St. Norbert the 1-0 lead.
- Rockford was able to fire two more shots at St. Norbert looking for the equalizer late, but the Green Knights were able to hold off the Regent attack for the 1-0 victory.
