AURORA, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team fell 3-0 on the road Wednesday evening at Aurora University. Rockford trailed just 1-0 heading into the half, but surrendered goals in the 58th and 87th minutes of the match. The Regents again struggled to get anything going with their offensive attack. Rockford had just two shots in the match, both of which were on target, while Aurora tallied 25 shots, with 11 of them coming on goal.
- Aurora broke the scoreless tie very early in the match. Dahlia Perez scored her first goal of the season in the 10th minute to put the Spartans out in front 1-0.
- The only shot on goal for the remainder of the half came off the foot of Daisy Martinez, but she was denied by the Aurora goalie to keep it a 1-0 score heading into the break.
- The Spartans doubled their lead just 12 minutes and 30 seconds into the second half. McKenna Kunz found the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game.
- Aurora tacked on one final goal in the 87th minute to seal the 3-0 win.
