ROCKFORD, Ill. - It was announced on Wednesday afternoon that Rockford University senior hitter
Madisen Perry has been selected Second Team All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference by the conference's 14 coaches. Perry becomes the first RU women's volleyball player to earn at least Second Team All-NACC status since the 2014 season when Kayla Kurz was also selected second team all-conference. This also marks the fifth straight year that Rockford has had at least one player earn postseason recognition from the NACC.
Madisen Perry burst onto the scene this year in her one and only season in a Regent uniform. She led Rockford in every hitting category and was one of the top players in the NACC all season long. Perry finished the year ranked in the top 10 in the conference in four different offensive categories. He was fourth in hitting percentage (.310), seventh in kills per set (3.17), eighth in points per set (3.52) and ninth in kills (244). Perry had a monumental effect on the team this season, as Rockford won double-digit matches in a year for the first time since 2007.Â
