11/5/2024 10:27:00 AM

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - The Rockford University women's bowling team competed in its second tournament in as many weeks when the Regents traveled to Missouri to participate in the Lions Match Play Classic. This tournament was slightly different than the previous ones Rockford competed in, as day one featured 3 team games and 12 baker games. Each school was then ranked based on the number of pins that were knocked down to create a double-elimination bracket for Sunday. Rockford finished fourth after one day with a total of 3,982. The Regents then won their first head-to-head best of three baker matches on Sunday against Quincy University (149-145 and 138-115) to advance in the tournament. Unfortunately, Rockford then fell to top-seeded Lindenwood University (204-163 and 228-145) and second-seeded Missouri Baptist University (221-140 and 186-159) to finish the tournament in fourth place.
