MEQUON, Wis. - The Rockford University baseball team lost both its games on Saturday at Concordia University Wisconsin. Game one was an outstanding pitchers' duel between Rockford's
Paul Turelli and CUW's Zach Slome. The Regents and Falcons combined to allow just six hits in the game, while striking out 15 batters.
Kadin Bergstrom belted his seventh home run of the season, but CUW responded with single runs in the fourth and the fifth en route to winning the opener 2-1. The nightcap belonged to the Falcons. Concordia Wisconsin used a four-run first to propel them to the 7-1 victory.
Kadin Bergstrom however continued his assault on opposing pitchers. Bergstrom homered for the fifth straight game to bring his season total to eight.

Game 1
- The opener featured excellent pitching performances from Rockford's Paul Turelli and Will Hissong and CUW's Zach Slome. The trio combined to allow just six hits and three runs, while striking out 15 batters over 13 innings.
- Rockford broke the scoreless tie in the top of the second when Kadin Bergstrom crushed a leadoff home run over the left field wall to put his team on top 1-0.
- RU starting pitcher Paul Turelli had a no-hitter through three before the Falcons finally got on the board in the fourth. CUW used a walk, a single and a pair of wild pitches to plate its run and knot the game at 1-1.
- One inning later, Concordia's Jordan Vazquez belted a solo home run of his own to left to give the Falcons a 2-1 advantage.
- The Regents did have chances to tie the game in both the sixth and seventh innings. In the sixth, Joseph Stagowski singled and Alex Perez reached on an error to put runners on first and second with two outs. In the seventh, Zach Fabis led off the inning with a single and then advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. Unfortunately, CUW's Zach Slome was able to wiggle out of both jams and preserve the 2-1 win.
Game 2
- The Falcons flew out to a quick 4-0 lead after one inning of play. CUW had three hits in the inning and took advantage of one costly Regent error to score its four runs, three of which were unearned.
- Although Rockford struggled to score runs, the Regents had multiple scoring opportunities throughout the game, with their best chance coming in the fourth inning. Rockford loaded the bases with one out following a pair of walks and a Kadin Bergstrom single. However, the Falcons struck out the next two batters to end the threat and keep it a 4-0 game.
- CUW then added a single run in the fifth and two more in the eighth to make it a 7-0 game heading into the ninth.
- Kadin Bergstrom ended CUW's hopes of a shutout, as he smashed his second solo home run of the day to left and made it a 7-1 game.
- Unfortunately, Rockford was unable to get any closer and fell by a final score of 7-1.
