LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team settled for a 0-0 tie with the Ripon College Red Hawks in a Tuesday night non-conference matchup. The Regents did have the advantage in saves 7-4, but Ripon took the advantage in shots 22-6 and corner kicks 16-3. In what was a strong defensive showing for both teams both offenses struggled to get going. Both teams threatened to find the back of the net on numerous occasions, but no attempts were successful and both goalkeepers held true. Rockford did have a chance to grab a late goal, but the chance was unsuccessful and both teams settled for the 0-0 tie.
- The Red Hawks threatened early with three shots on goal within the first 19 minutes, but Regent keeper Kaeleigh Taylor was able to corral all three tries.
- Rockford got its first two shots on goal in the 23rd and 27th minutes with shots from Silia Banza and Ava Divis but neither try was able to find the back of the net.
- The Regents tried to break the scoreless tie in the 36th minute with a shot on goal from Mia Ostler, but her shot was unsuccessful, and the match stayed knotted at zero going into the half.
