WAUWATOSA, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team fell for the first time in conference play this season on Saturday, 7-0 at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The Warriors led just 1-0 at the half, but exploded for six second-half goals to seal the win. The Warriors outshot the Regents 17-1 in the match, including a 10-0 lead in shots on goal.
- Wisconsin Lutheran struck first with a goal in the fifth minute of the match. Hector Cervantes found the back of the net off an assist by Cole Luedke to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead.
- The remainder of the half was dominated by the two defenses. The two schools combined for just four shots the rest of the half, as WLC took a 1-0 lead into the break.
- The second half started almost the exact same way as the first, with the Warriors scoring just over five minutes in to extend their lead to 2-0.
- Unfortunately, things really went downhill after that. WLC scored five goals over the final 28 minutes for the 7-0 win.
