VERONA, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team fell 4-0 on the road Wednesday night at the NACC-leading Edgewood College Eagles. The Eagles began the day riding a five-match winning streak and had outscored their opponents 40-8 through eight matches. Despite all of the that, Rockford hung with the Eagles for the vast majority of the evening. The Regents trailed just 2-0 at the half, and Edgewood really did not put the game out of reach until the final 18 minutes, when they scored a pair of goals to seal the win.
- Edgewood's Cristian Torres-Gale broke the scoreless tie in the 21st minute of the match to give his team a 1-0 lead.
- The score remained unchanged until the 34th minute, when Connor Gage scored his NACC-leading 13th goal of the season and sent Edgewood into the half with a 2-0 advantage.
- Rockford goalkeeper Juan Sarmiento kept the Regents in the game during his 75 minutes in net. Sarmiento amassed a career-high 13 saves in the match.
- Unfortunately, Edgewood was able to tack on goals in the 73rd and 87th minutes by Miguel Konde Gwo and Brooks Luttinen to secure the 4-0 win.
